Light and sturdy, this handwoven basket is waiting to be filled with treasures from your garden or trips to the farmer’s market. Adjustable wooden handles fit perfectly in the crook of your arm for easy carrying. This simple and classic design makes for a beautiful display piece when not in use.
Our Founder was inspired by her Mother’s gardening basket in creating this classic piece. Rooted in nostalgia, Naomi’s Gardening basket is ready for years of memories all your own.
Our baskets are individually handwoven by our Amish friends here in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They are created using seagrass roping, wood, willow and reed. Every basket has a sturdy 1/2” plywood bottom, solid brass nameplate, brass rivets, and brass tack nails. The genuine bridle leather handles are sourced in America and finished with detailed stitching along the edges.

About the Maker
Millstream Home was created as an ode to my Amish heritage. In 2016 I began tracking down the most talented + timeless local makers still using historic production methods. Our makers live simple lives and create beautiful products. We believe that American Made Matters and that supporting the local Maker is always worth it. When you make a purchase from Millstream Home, you directly support each Maker and their family here in our hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania - our basket weavers and quilters, toymakers and seamstresses, potters, blacksmiths, leatherworkers, candlemakers and broom weavers. Each piece is made in small batches in someone’s shop, shed, or garage turned craft room. And we wouldn’t have it any other way! No elaborate factories here, just a hard days work and a life spent doing what we love. Our hope is that you (and your customers) feel the care and love poured into every item.
