This painting is just the feeling of this place. Northern Michigan has so many beautiful shorelines. I have been walking the shoreline in Elk Rapids, Michigan for 15 years and it changes. This is one memory of a moment in time. I love the color of the lake there. I love the color of the summer sky. This is a gauzy rendering not meant to capture any specific time or place but the feeling in my soul of ALL the moments and places… Actually this is part of a collection of more loosely told stories about the shoreline that you will see released this year one by one. This being the smallest in the series.
