The absolute artistry in the landscape astounds me. The composition of the clouds, the shape of the shoreline and placement of the rocks. The Creator is the great artist and I simply grasp to capture a glimpse of the moment to hold onto it. It is these moments of perfection that a thousand dark days cannot diminish in my mind and I find courage in the hope I will stand in this place once again. This particular piece I painted after a day at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse on the Leelanau Peninsula in Northern Michigan.
